Well lots has happened I suppose. I got through my first year of university. Registered for classes this morning with some purpose now that I have a faint idea of what I'm getting myself into. I feel a little better now that I have some direction in my studies. Most of the second year psych classes filled up immediately, but I was able to get into the core classes I need to complete my major. I also signed up for a class that studies Japanese Pop culture (as in watching movies, looking at manga and anime and analyzing them). The inner geek in me is freaking out about this class but I still feel a little uneasy because the "lab" (most likely the time we'll be watching films and such) finishes at such a late time (9:20pm!) But I'm also get the feeling that I'll regret not taking this course. Because taking classes that spark your passions, isn't that what university is for?
For summer plans, I actually got my ass in gear and got a job at Home Depot as a cashier. It pays a little over minimum wage and I'm getting a lot of hours. Hopefully it'll help pay for my tuition next year and all the money I'll be spending at the local con and ANIMETHON IN EDMONTON. Got a room booked and a group together and I'm super excited!!!!
I even managed to get some legitimate cosplay together. My Lillian (Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns) is completed and my Mikasa (Attack on Titan) is almost finished!
Overall, feelings pretty good right now!
